Lucas Keller is a serial social entrepreneur and Executive Director of Tekton Career Training, where he’s spent years helping refugees access jobs and global career opportunities. Along the way, he learned firsthand how broken and outdated the grant process is, especially for lean nonprofit teams. That frustration sparked MatchGrant, an AI-powered platform built to make fundraising simple, fast, and actually doable. Lucas combines his background in technology with a track record of building mission-driven ventures to help nonprofits thrive. When he’s not working on big ideas, you’ll find him hiking, exploring the world, or chasing his two kids around with his wife—his favorite adventure crew.

Blake McCool

Co-Founder/CTO

With more than 14 years of experience in software development and engineering leadership, Blake McCool has built web applications across a variety of industries and company sizes, ranging from nimble startups to major enterprise organizations. His versatile skill set spans dev-ops, software engineering, and product development, taking projects from concept to launch. As co-founder of MatchGrant, Blake is leveraging his broad technical background to develop a smart, streamlined platform that connects nonprofits with grants tailored to their missions. When his face isn’t glowing from the light of his code editor, you'll find him on the slopes with his family or hiking with his Golden Retriever, Sunny.

The Spark of Necessity

MatchGrant was more than just an idea; it was a survival strategy. Our co-founder, Luke Keller, knows the weight of the nonprofit mission because he's still carrying it. As the founder and Executive Director of his own nonprofit, Luke experienced the devastating blow of losing critical federal funding.

Left with a struggling organization and a mission that couldn't wait, he scoured the market for tools to help him find new funding. What he found was a desert: options that were either hopelessly outdated, ineffective, or priced so high they were out of reach for the very organizations that needed them most.

Recognizing this massive gap, Luke teamed up with Blake McCool to build the solution the sector was missing. A tool that is powerful, accessible, and built by those who actually understand the stakes.
